“Granularity” is the foundation of this platform.

In the logic of the digital world, life is simplified into a set of smooth, highly saturated pixels.
“Network Filters” precisely condense the complexity of reality, presenting only the desirable life.
I established Filter Breaker because I cannot settle for this “smooth perjury.”

▣ WHO AM I?
// Lia Ling
Master’s Candidate, Global Media Communication
Navigating the triangle of China, Thailand, and Australia. Often tagged as a "Digital Nomad"? -- Don't tag me. I'm breaking the filter...
Leveraging my background in media communication to decode the "smooth perjury" of our digital existence.
I’m here to reclaim the granularity that the algorithms tried to erase.
I focus on specific groups of people –
Those who are anxious and confused are more likely to be deceived by the “internet filter” and make impulsive choices.
I focus on specific events ⬇️⬇️
On social media, the digital nomad lifestyle has been distorted into a kind of aspirational labor. When people subscribe to a certain “freedom” in front of the screen, the algorithm often blocks out the “real life” elements.
Filter Breaker
The core of Filter Breaker lies in calling for a “return to rationality” in cognition, and retrieving the “granular sense” that has been smoothed out by algorithms.
I am not trying to prevent people from pursuing freedom and their dreams. I merely want to search for and present the truth as much as possible within the digital cracks. In an era filled with ” decorative narratives”, rationality is an extremely costly quality.
This platform disassembles the hidden costs encoded in the code and provides people with a “cognitive checklist”.
It asks,
"If the reality is like this, would you be willing to set out?"
Before you leap into the digital blue,
Filter Breaker is here to help you recover that gritty, authentic sense of freedom.
